Chairman: Christian Kamps
Christian Kamps worked for the Olanda Watta project, mainly to establish a water project, in Sri Lanka during 5 months in 2000. Ever since, Christian remained involved in the Sri Lanka aid party and became a board member in 2017. From 2025, he has taken over the role of Chairman of the board.
Board member: Piet Bakker
Piet Bakker has been associated with Horizon Holland for over 20 years, first as advisor agricultural projects, then as member of the Sri Lanka working group. He has been Chairman of the board from 2018-2025.
Treasurer: Alexander Coeleveld
In 2024, I went on a round trip through Sri Lanka with my family for the first time. What a beautiful and diverse country Sri Lanka is. During this trip, we met up several times and in different places with my fellow townsman and board member Christian Kamps. Since they were looking for a new treasurer and I’m an accountant, I figured I’d take on the role starting in April 2025.
Board member: Olaf van Gorp
In 1991, I was sent to Sri Lanka by Horizon Holland to work as a project coordinator for the Rehabilitation Home for Disabled Children in Ambanpitiya, near Kegalle. I worked there for two years with great pleasure and certainly not without results. How wonderful it is to come full circle after all these years and now contribute as a board member of Horizon Holland!
