School in Kandy

This school does not like to be mentioned by name. The reason for this is that students are taught here with quite problematic backgrounds. Many children come from a difficult home situation and the school provides breakfast to encourage the students to come to school. There is even the opportunity for the students to wash themselves and school uniforms at school.

The school would like to start a pilot project on washable sanitary towels for the girls. In Sri Lanka it is a difficult topic to discuss, both in the classroom and in society.

The aim is to produce washable sanitary napkins and also to provide information to the students and their parents, so that they also carry and take over this initiative at home. The costs for this pilot are € 2,500.00
