May 2016 saw severe flooding in Rathnapura, Sri Lanka. Many people then lost all their belongings and homes were partially or completely destroyed. The population immediately rolled up their sleeves to rebuild their existence, but there was a great need for clothing and food. Sister Niluka Nisansala of the Good Shepherd Convent in Hendela, with whom we have been in contact for many years, enlisted our help to help about 100 affected families. It concerned cooking utensils, towels, sheets, rice and school supplies for the children. The costs were €33,- per family. Together with SVHO we acted immediately and transferred money to them to make this help possible. Below you will find the photos of the project. We hope this will give a good picture of what we have already done. Would you like to support this project? Love!
